Ross redeems himself with victory at Thunderbird Speedway

By John Rittenoure - MUSKOGEE, Okla. (May 21, 2022) - Misfortune cost Hayden Ross a Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series victory at Thunderbird Speedway on Friday, but that was not the case on Saturday.

After a blow tire cost handed the victory to Brett Hansen, Ross charged his way to the lead from sixth starting position and was not to be denied pulling away and posting his fourth victory of the season.

Hansen settled for second this time with defending Sooner Series champion Kip Hughes racing to third. Mike Anderson and Eddie Martin rounded out the top five.

The Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series returns to action on June 3 at Creek County Speedway in Kellyville, Oklahoma.

About Sooner Late Model Series
The Sooner Late Model Series was formed in 2016 by Enid Speedway co-promoter Mark Brill. Brill felt there was not many opportunities for late model competitors to race in Oklahoma and the Sooner Late Model Series was formed. Now the series has grown beyond the borders of Oklahoma with events held in the neighboring states of Kansas, Texas and Arkansas as well.
